These 3 days Eastern lowland gorilla tour to Congo takes into consideration visitors arriving through Kigali in Rwanda or Kisoro in Uganda. Kahuzi-Biega national park is one of best places to go for a safari in Congo. Kahuzi-Biega national park is the only home to the Eastern lowland gorillas. About 4,800 Eastern lowland gorillas remain in the wild. Their immediate cousins the Western Lowland gorillas inhabit the equatorial forests of central Africa. Tracking lowland gorillas generally takes a shorter time – lasting between 1-4 hours. If coming from Kigali, you will go through the Cyangugu border to Congo. Visitors coming from Uganda will enter Congo through the Bunagana border. The package assumes that you will depart through Kigali international airport.
If you are arriving from Kigali, A guide from Mission Africa Safaris will pick you from your hotel or airport and take you to Congo using the Cyangugu border.
